We are pleased to share exciting updates as we continue to grow and strengthen the healthcare services available to Bannockburn and surrounding local communities.
Since 1991, we have proudly served as an accredited teaching site, dedicated to training future general practitioners, medical students, and nursing students.
From August, we will be hosting four GP Registrars as part of their ongoing general practice training. We are delighted to announce that Dr Shruthi Subramanyan and Dr James Murdoch will be continuing, and we will also welcome back Dr Puneet Saini after undertaking a six-month placement in sexual health. We also extend a warm welcome to Dr Marzan Adel who will be joining our clinical team. Sadly, we will farewell Dr Savithi Somachandra next month as she prepares for motherhood and we wish her all the very best.
Supporting GP training is an important part of our commitment to building a strong future healthcare workforce and ensuring our community continues to have access to high-quality medical care close to home.
We are also excited to announce that construction will soon commence on our upcoming purpose-built medical development. Following the recent selection of our builder, works are anticipated to begin in late June or early July. This development represents a significant investment to the future of healthcare services for our region, providing expanded facilities to better meet the growing needs of our community.
In addition to providing healthcare services, the development has tenancies available for medical and allied health professionals and a dedicated café. Businesses or allied health providers interested to discuss leasing opportunities are encouraged to contact our Practice Manager, Catherine for further information on (03) 5281 1481.
We would like to thank our patients and community for your ongoing support and look forward to sharing further updates as these exciting developments progress.
